════ SPRING WRAP UP ════
Get comfortable jumping 18″ ✓ 2’3″ felt easy, Raglan’s such a pro that 18″ isn’t scary at all.
Go to a schooling show ✓ The LWSC show was awesome, I wish I’d entered over fences classes!
Go for a trail ride ✗ Nobody to go with and Raglan won’t get into the Miley, soooooo…
Put weight on Raglan ✓ He’s definitely bulked up! I’m super happy with how he looks right now.
════ SUMMER GOALS ════
Ride Raglan outside more often
Take Raglan for a trail ride
Sell the Miley & pay off debts
Buy a new saddle that fits better
Practice ride a dressage test
Jump a full course of jumps
════ WINTER WRAP UP ════
Work on Raglan’s right lead ✓ It’s not 100% there, but the right lead is starting to happen!
Introduce more lateral work ✗ LOL NOPE. I probably should get on this at some point…
Incorporate more poles ┅ I did more, but I need to get back into the habit of using them every ride.
Trailer out to new places ✓ SO MANY PLACES. EMR, SEC, and THF, plus the new barn (10M).
Start over cross rails ✓ Easy peasy. We’re capping off winter with our first couple of 18″ jumps.
════ SPRING GOALS ════
Get comfortable jumping 18″
Go to a schooling show
Go for a trail ride
Put weight on Rags
════ AUTUMN WRAP UP ════
Get Raglan sound again ✓ This was touch and go, but it did get done. Shoes with pads = sound pony!
Take Raglan to his first show ✓ The November Eagle Mountain Schooling Show was a success 😀
Bring Raglan to the SEC for a lesson ✗ Didn’t end up happening, but hopefully sometime soon.
Establish Raglan’s canter ✓ Cantered Rags for the first time on October 27th! It was 100% awesome.
Take Ezhno for a trail ride ✗ It’s hard to make fun plans when you rely on others for transport. 😢
Work on slowing Ezhno’s canter ✓ Ezhno’s canter has made major improvements in the past few months.
Improve Ezhno’s lateral movements ┅ I didn’t work on this as much as I should’ve, but they did improve!
════ GOALS FOR RAGLAN ════
Develop his ability to consistently pick up the right lead under saddle
Introduce lateral work (baby leg yield, turn on haunch/forehand, etc.)
Incorporate more poles (trot poles, canter poles, half-raised cavaletti, etc.)
Find more opportunities to trailer him out to new places
Start over cross rail courses towards the end of winter
